Birth order has a direct impact on the roles we learn and develop in our whānau.
When we look at statistics, the eldest child often has a higher academic success rate and this linked to the time that they have with their parents (before other children are around and need their parent’s attention too).
You can give your younger children some of the same benefits as the eldest by making sure they have more of your undivided attention and time.
No matter the birth order, everyone has something special to contribute to the whānau, so everyone is valuable.
