Gender difference

In this episode we cover:

  • Gender is created partially in your genes, partially in your brain and lots in the environment, but not something you have control over.
  • When thinking about being a boy or a girl, follow your child’s lead, there is no need to teach them.
  • Traditionally Māori men were very nurturing and played significant caregiving roles alongside the mother. They were very loving and affectionate to their pēpi and tamariki.
  • Don’t be scared of your child exploring different gender roles.
