Asset Data Analyst
6‑Month Fixed Term, Full Time
Ōtautahi / Christchurch
Kia hiwa rā!
We are seeking a detail‑focused and analytical Asset Data Analyst to join Ngāi Tahu Property on a six‑month fixed‑term basis, supporting the continued strengthening of our asset management capability. This role will work across all of Ngai Tahu Holdings (incl Seafood, Farming, Tourism) and not just property.
Established in 1994, Ngāi Tahu Property is one of the largest property developers in Te Waipounamu with a range of successful residential and commercial developments, and a market value approaching $600 million. As a wholly‑owned Business Unit of Ngāi Tahu Holdings, Ngāi Tahu Property contributes to our overall mission to protect and grow the Ngāi Tahu tribal pūtea and Settlement assets for future generations – mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri ā muri ake nei (for us and our children after us).
This fixed term opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys hands‑on asset data work and wants to make a meaningful contribution over a defined period.
The Role
Reporting to the Manager Assets & Facilities, the Asset Data Analyst will provide targeted support across asset data management, analysis and reporting during this 6‑month fixed term.
You will focus on improving data quality and integrity within the Asset Management Information System (AMIS), supporting the development and alignment of Asset Management Plans (AMPs), and enabling evidence‑based asset lifecycle planning and investment decision‑making.
Working closely with asset and facilities managers, site teams and internal stakeholders, this role plays a critical part in strengthening the asset data foundations that underpin Ngāi Tahu Property’s long‑term asset management maturity.
We are looking for someone who brings:
- 3–7+ years’ experience in asset data analysis, asset management, or property/facilities environments
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and data accuracy
- Experience working with Asset Management Information Systems (AMIS), CMMS or EAM platforms
- Proven capability in data cleansing, validation, reporting and dashboards
- Ability to translate asset data into clear, practical insights for a range of audiences
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, delivery‑focused mindset well suited to a fixed‑term assignment
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, Ngāi Tahu values, tikanga and te reo Māori
- Familiarity with the Treaty of Waitangi and its application within an organisational context
Experience with ISO 55001 aligned asset management practices or the SPM Assets system is advantageous.
Ko tā mātou mahi – We offer
We pride ourselves on being a values‑led organisation that invests in the professional and cultural development of our kaimahi. During your time with Ngāi Tahu Property, you will be supported to grow your understanding of te reo Māori and tikanga, while working in a collaborative, inclusive and purpose‑driven environment.
As a flexible employer, we are open to discussing arrangements that support work‑life balance throughout the term of this role.
