We’re looking for an HR Coordinator to join our Toi Tangata team. This is a key role supporting effective HR operations across the Te Rūnanga Group, ensuring our kaimahi experience manaakitanga and excellence at every stage of their journey.
Mō te tūnga – About the role
As the HR Coordinator, you will deliver high-quality administration and coordination support across the employee lifecycle. This role is critical to keeping our HR operations running smoothly and ensuring our processes reflect the care and professionalism Te Rūnanga Group is known for.
Your mahi will include:
- Preparing employment agreements, letters of offer, and HR documentation
- Coordinating onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a positive experience for kaimahi
- Managing and triaging queries through the Toi Tangata inbox
- Maintaining our HR systems with accurate, timely data
- Supporting reporting and organisational documentation
- Coordinating HR-related events, inductions, and training sessions
- Providing responsive, professional communication to internal stakeholders
- Supporting continuous improvement and people-focused initiatives across Toi Tangata
Mōu – About you
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in HR coordination, administration, or recruitment (1–2 years ideal)
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- A warm, customer-focused nature and commitment to manaakitanga
- Confidence with systems, data, and documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A willingness to learn and deepen your understanding of Kāi Tahu values, tikanga and te reo Māori
- An affinity for a bicultural environment and the aspirations of Ngāi Tahu whānui
