Te Huatū is a bold, kaupapa-driven initiative designed to strengthen education pathways for learners, whānau, hapū and communities, that sits under the legal entity of Hono ki Tua Limited. We are seeking an exceptional Kaikōkiri Mātauraka to lead this establishment phase and help shape a transformative new programme grounded in mātauraka Māori and community aspiration.
As a senior leader within the organisation, the Kaikōkiri Mātauraka will build the foundations of Hono ki Tua Ltd, establishing operational systems, nurturing relationships with rūnaka and education partners, and coordinating flagship initiatives including a symposium and sector engagement wānaka. Working closely with the Tumuaki Takirua and Board of Directors, this role will play a pivotal part in preparing the organisation for full programme launch in 2027.
This role offers a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful impact for rakatahi, whānau and the wider education system. You will be doing work that matters, with a competitive salary on offer for the right candidate.

Candidates with strong connections to hapū, rūnaka, education, or kaupapa Māori initiatives are warmly encouraged to apply.
