We are seeking motivated Lodge Hosts and Chefs (individuals or couples) to join our team in the remote and spectacular Whakatipu Waitai (Hollyford). Deliver exceptional guest experiences in a luxury lodge environment, where genuine manaakitanga, connection, and care are at the heart of everything we do.
About the Roles:
Lodge Host
- Provide warm, professional guest service from arrival to departure
- Create seamless and memorable lodge experiences
- Manage daily lodge operations, including administration, housekeeping, and presentation
- Build genuine connections with guests
- Support a positive, welcoming team environment
Chef
- Deliver high-quality, lodge-style dining experiences (~20 people)
- Cater to a range of dietary requirements with confidence
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation standards
- Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen systems
- Take the lead in the kitchen whilst fostering a supportive, collaborative team environment
About You:
You are someone who
- Is passionate about hospitality and creating exceptional guest experience
- Thrives in a remote, fast-paced environment
- Works well both independently and within a small, close-knit team
- Has strong communication skills and a positive, calm approach
Skills & Experience:
Lodge Host
- Experience in hospitality, guest services, housekeeping, or lodge operations
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Duty Manager’s Certificate (or beverage service experience) is an advantage
Chef
- Proven professional cooking experience
- Confident working in an open kitchen and engaging with guests
