Are you an experienced business systems professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working closely with people to make systems work better?
Ngāi Tahu Holdings is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Finance (Te Hou) team in Ōtautahi. This is a key role supporting our group-wide finance system, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, our Tourism reservations system IBIS, and the integrations and reporting tools that sit around them.
This role is ideal for someone who brings strong systems knowledge, sound business analysis capability, and a genuine passion for continuous improvement. You’ll work across Te Rūnanga Group, helping ensure our systems are well supported, efficient, and fit for purpose for the people who rely on them every day.

Ngā mahi – The opportunity
As the Senior Business Systems Analyst, you’ll play an important role in supporting and improving core business systems across the Group. You’ll help resolve issues, maintain system integrity, support upgrades and testing, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide practical support to end users.
You’ll also contribute to business analysis, process mapping, training, reporting and change activity, while building strong working relationships across the Finance team, Ngāi Tahu Tourism, Te Kuru, the Business Systems team and external partners.
You’ll play a key role in:
- Supporting Business Central, IBIS, integrations and associated reporting tools
- Triaging and resolving user issues and system incidents
- Monitoring system performance, data integrity and exception reporting
- Identifying and implementing approved system and process improvements
- Supporting upgrades, testing, UAT and change activity
- Developing training materials and supporting end-user learning
- Providing reporting, analysis and advice to support business decisions
- Helping drive automation, standardisation and continuous improvement across systems and processes
Mōu – What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical and business capability with a practical, customer-focused approach.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a corporate or professional services environment with strong experience in finance system support, accounting and business processes
- A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, business or technology
- Experience with ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central
- Experience in business analysis, project management and software testing
- Strong data analysis, reporting and problem-solving capability
- Experience supporting end users, delivering training and improving processes
It would also be an advantage to have experience with Agile, SCRUM, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or the tourism sector.
Just as importantly, you’ll be collaborative, detail-focused, adaptable, and someone who enjoys building strong relationships. An understanding of, or willingness to grow your knowledge of, Ngāi Tahu values, tikaka, te reo Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi is highly valued.
