About the role
As our Stock Controller, you’ll be the engine behind a well‑organised, well‑stocked retail operation. Working closely with the Retail Manager and team, you’ll ensure stock is received, recorded, replenished and rotated accurately.
You’ll be trusted to
- Manage receiving, processing and preparation of stock for sale
- Maintain accurate inventory records using systems such as IBIS
- Replenish the shop floor daily to support trading and presentation
- Complete stocktakes and investigate variances
- Identify slow‑moving or excess stock and support sales initiatives
- Maintain a tidy, safe and efficient stockroom environment
- Contribute ideas that improve stock flow, accuracy and efficiency
What you’ll bring
- Experience in retail stock control, inventory or similar operational roles
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Physically capable of safe manual handling and stock movement
- Confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
- A proactive, problem‑solving approach
- Professional, reliable and trustworthy
- An openness to learning Ngāi Tahu values, tikanga and te reo Māori
