About the role

As our Stock Controller, you’ll be the engine behind a well‑organised, well‑stocked retail operation. Working closely with the Retail Manager and team, you’ll ensure stock is received, recorded, replenished and rotated accurately.

You’ll be trusted to

• Manage receiving, processing and preparation of stock for sale
• Maintain accurate inventory records using systems such as IBIS
• Replenish the shop floor daily to support trading and presentation
• Complete stocktakes and investigate variances
• Identify slow‑moving or excess stock and support sales initiatives
• Maintain a tidy, safe and efficient stockroom environment
• Contribute ideas that improve stock flow, accuracy and efficiency

What you’ll bring

• Experience in retail stock control, inventory or similar operational roles
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Physically capable of safe manual handling and stock movement
• Confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
• A proactive, problem‑solving approach
• Professional, reliable and trustworthy
• An openness to learning Ngāi Tahu values, tikanga and te reo Māori
