Carols at the Pā

A happy crowd of over 200 people gathered at Rehua Marae in St Albans on Friday night, to celebrate the arrival of Christmas with Carols at the Pā.

Whānau were treated to kapa haka, carol singing, Mama Koko, Christmas costume competitions, food stalls, lucky prize draws and other live entertainment.

This is the second year Carols at the Pā has been held. It’s a chance for the Rehua Marae Trust to wish whānau, our communities and supporters of Rehua Marae a safe and Merry Christmas Without community support, the marae would not be the special vibrant place it is today.

A special thank-you also to our Kāhui Kaumātua for their guidance and to those kaumātua who support our paepae and uphold the mana and tikanga of the marae.

We hope everyone is able to relax and enjoy time with whānau and look forward to seeing you at the marae in the New Year. Check out our photos from the night.
