Celebrate Our Own
Honouring those who give back
Mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri ā muri ake nei
At Hui-ā-Tau this year, we want to take a moment to celebrate the people across our iwi who are quietly, consistently, or boldly making meaningful contributions. We want to acknowledge our people while they’re still with us, because it’s the right thing to do, and because being able to see and value each other’s contributions is fuel for our mana motuhake.
We’ll be creating a continuous photo reel to play in the kai marquee during Hui-ā-Tau, featuring photos and short blurbs about tribal members making a difference.
To contribute: Please send a photo (ideally landscape orientation) and two to three sentences about the person and their contribution to: [email protected]
Livestream
To ensure all whānau across the takiwā and beyond can take part, the hui will be livestreamed. These details will be shared with whānau closer to the event date.
