About the role

Working within our Group Finance team, you'll provide accounting and reporting support across Ngāi Tahu Holdings Corporation and Ngāi Tahu Capital. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
• Supporting statutory financial statement preparation and external audits
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
• Assisting with tax compliance including GST, FBT and withholding tax obligations
• Supporting treasury activities and investment reporting
• Contributing to budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting and processes

What you'll bring

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with current CA ANZ membership
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline
• 2–3 years' experience in financial accounting, management accounting, assurance or professional services
• Experience preparing statutory financial statements and working with IFRS and/or PBE reporting requirements
• Experience preparing year-end audit workpapers and working with external auditors
• Advanced Excel capability and experience using ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Business Central or Navision
• Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
• A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and grow within a bicultural environment
