Ngāi Tahu Tourism is seeking a talented Senior Marketing Advisor to help champion, enhance and grow iconic New Zealand tourism businesses. This role sits within the Marketing & Communications team based at Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, which provides support across Te Rūnanga Group.

We’re looking for a marketing expert with a passion for tourism and proven commercial acumen to deliver targeted strategies that drive brand strength and revenue growth. Working alongside a Marketing Advisor, you will deliver on a diverse range of activities - from digital marketing and brand collateral design, to supporting international media visits and event activations. Your ability to build strong working relationships with external and internal stakeholders is paramount.

Your work will contribute to ensuring the interests and aspirations of Ngāi Tahu whānui are met through representational activities, ultimately helping us realise our vision: ‘mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri, ā muri ake nei’ (for us and our children after us).

What we are looking for: Ā mātou e rapu ana

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in marketing roles with a proven record of delivering results
• Expertise in implementing marketing strategies and driving commercial outcomes
• Experience overseeing digital marketing strategies including paid advertising and social media through effective agency management and internal collaboration.
• Hands-on experience managing website content and functionality using CMS platforms (SilverStripe preferred).
• Ability to work within brand guidelines and maintain consistency across campaigns
• Skilled in copywriting, editing, and proofreading for both print and digital platforms
• Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong understanding of emerging and established marketing trends
• Tourism industry experience is highly desirable
• A tertiary qualification in marketing or a related field is preferred
• Cultural confidence and willingness to embrace Ngāi Tahu values, tikanga, and te reo Māori
