The All Blacks Experience, joint venture between New Zealand Rugby and Ngāi Tahu Tourism, is excited to be launching Japanese and Chinese subtitled translations of their interactive cultural attraction in Auckland’s Sky City Precinct from April 1.
The introduction of subtitled translations represents the business’s aim to be a world class global attraction of choice by providing an immersive experience that provides a detailed insight into New Zealand culture through the lens of a national sporting pastime.
Guests to the All Blacks Experience will be introduced to unique taonga (treasures) and a collection of artwork designed by renowned Māori artists and whakataukī (proverbs) chosen to provide connection to Kiwi culture and way of life. This is infused with an authentic hands on interactive behind the scenes look at one of the of the world’s most successful teams- including facing the legendary Haka!
All Blacks Experience General Manager David Gibson is proud to see this project come to fruition and is excited to enhance the attractions’ ability to connect with other cultures and provide them with a uniquely New Zealand experience.
“The introduction of Japanese and Chinese subtitled translations allows us to connect with more of the All Black’s global fan base and appeal to a larger market of our country’s tourists. More importantly, it ensures that more of our guests are given a warm welcome to New Zealand via the lens of rugby, and hopefully experience some of that magic that has made Kiwis proud of our culture and teams in Black” he says.
“We also know people from all around the globe hear about the All Blacks and the game of rugby, so we see great opportunity in ensuring our attraction caters to as many people as possible.”
Ngāi Tahu Tourism General Manager Jolanda Cave is delighted by the business’s introduction of translated tours.
“Introducing these translated tours represents just one of the many actions Ngāi Tahu Tourism is taking to embrace diversity both in and out of our takiwā. Guests can look forward to a sustainable and award-winning experience with one of New Zealand’s most trusted tourism businesses.”
