Ngāi Tahu Holdings appoints Acting Chief Executive

Ngāi Tahu Chief Operating Officer, Todd Moyle will take up the role of Acting Chief Executive (CE) for an expected 6 months from 3 April 2023.

Ngāi Tahu Holdings Chair Mike Pohio made the announcement today.

“Todd has the personal values and skill to maintain our momentum,” said Mr Pohio. “This arrangement is in place to allow us to complete our CE recruitment process.”

Todd began his role as Manahautu Te Whano (Chief Operating Officer) in January 2022 having previously worked at KiwiRail as Chief Operations Officer.

Mr Pohio also thanked Craig Ellison who is stepping down as Chief Executive at the end of March.

“Craig Ellison (Ōtākou, Puketeraki, Taumutu, Hokonui, Ngāi Tūāhuriri) has demonstrated his commitment to his iwi, stepping away from his full governance portfolio to take up the Chief Operating Officer and then the CE role while we were bedding in a new operating model. He has led us very effectively through global economic uncertainty, and I would like to sincerely thank Craig for his strong leadership.”
