Ngāi Tahu Holdings board welcomes Jason Paris.

Ngāi Tahu Holdings is excited to welcome to its board Jason Paris (Ngāi Tahu - Waihōpai), CEO of One NZ (formerly Vodafone).

Mr Paris has been appointed to replace Rodger Finlay and will commence a three-year term from 1 January 2024. Mr Paris will bring considerable commercial experience to the NTHC Board as one of Aotearoa’s most respected executive leaders.

“Jason is at the forefront of thinking on organisational culture and the impact of new technologies,” says Mike Pohio. “He is an expert in customer-based businesses that make a positive impact on the communities they serve. He is also a proud Southlander and family man.”

NTH Board Chair Mike Pohio has also announced the appointment to the board for a second term Kristen Kohere-Soutar (Ngāi Tahu – Ngāi Tūāhuriri, Ngāti Rakiamoa, Ngāti Waewae, Ngāti Wheke; Ngāti Porou; Rongowhakaata) and Juliet Tainui-Hernandez (Ngāi Tahu – Ngāti Irakehu, Ngāti Waewae; Te Whakatōhea).

Kristen Kohere-Soutar has a strong background in the finance and investment sectors and is deeply committed to the advancement of Ngāi Tahu, having previously been chair of Whai Rawa, the Ngāi Tahu savings scheme.

Juliet Tainui-Hernandez is a corporate lawyer qualified in Aotearoa, Australia (New South Wales), England and Wales. She brings to the table considerable leadership and governance expertise, especially in risk management and compliance, people, operations, and business transformation.
