History and legends about places of significance to Ngāi Tahu feature in the teacher support material available here. Whether those places are significant due to occupation or by creation, the legends span the test of time when they are understood and retold. These teaching resource sets give tips and curriculum links and ideas to learn about the land, sustainability, and impact of occupation and development over time. More teacher support material will be added featuring other places.
Kā Huru Manu - The Ngāi Tahu Atlas
Kā Huru Manu - Ngāi Tahu Cultural Mapping Project contains information on over 1,000 place names, and it's associated support material, being the 'Kā Huru Manu Education Framework', a teacher resource aimed to support ākonga in Years 7-10.
