Event Information
Registrations are now open for Hui-ā-Iwi 2024 hosted by Te Rūnanga o Kaikōura.
Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu and Ngāi Tahu Holdings Corporation will report back on annual results and hold an open forum session for whānau. There will be plenty of entertainment, activities, and stalls throughout the weekend, and Te Atakura is sure to be a highlight.

To ensure we can safely manage the event and provide plenty of kai for the hākari, we kindly ask whānau to register their attendance. If you are travelling with your rūnanga, you will still need to register.

ParkingParking is available at the Kaikōura Racecourse. Māori wardens will be looking after traffic. Please inform them if you have mobility needs and they will direct you to accessible parking spaces. |
Bring cashSome stalls and kai (food) vendors may not have EFTPOS facilities, so it's a good idea to bring cash. |
Minimise wasteReusable items are encouraged. Bring your own water bottles and tote bags. |
Dress for the weatherThe event is outdoors, so please wear comfortable clothing and footwear. Sunblock and hats are recommended if sunny, and pack a raincoat just in case. |

You will need to arrange your own accommodation and transport. Accommodation in Kaikōura is limited but whānau attending Hui-ā-Iwi can book ahead to stay at Peketā Campground.
