Event Information

Registrations are now open for Hui-ā-Iwi 2024 hosted by Te Rūnanga o Kaikōura.

Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu and Ngāi Tahu Holdings Corporation will report back on annual results and hold an open forum session for whānau. There will be plenty of entertainment, activities, and stalls throughout the weekend, and Te Atakura is sure to be a highlight.

Click here to see the Notice of 2024 AGM and Notice of Special Resolution.

To ensure we can safely manage the event and provide plenty of kai for the hākari, we kindly ask whānau to register their attendance. If you are travelling with your rūnanga, you will still need to register.

Parking

Parking is available at the Kaikōura Racecourse. Māori wardens will be looking after traffic. Please inform them if you have mobility needs and they will direct you to accessible parking spaces.

Bring cash

Some stalls and kai (food) vendors may not have EFTPOS facilities, so it's a good idea to bring cash.

Minimise waste

Reusable items are encouraged. Bring your own water bottles and tote bags.

Dress for the weather

The event is outdoors, so please wear comfortable clothing and footwear. Sunblock and hats are recommended if sunny, and pack a raincoat just in case.
